Sarah and Brian had me do their engagement photos last fall. These guys are so cute together and we had a great time traveling to locations all over Santa Cruz. We started in the mountains at Henry Cowell Redwoods, then stopped by their favorite (and now my favorite also OMG – I can’t believe I had never been there) ice cream parlor The Penny Ice Creamery, the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, and ended at Seabright Beach. The soft late afternoon light trickled through the canopy in the forest, birds calling to each other that it was time to come home. We chased the sun to the coast as it set into the mountainside. After a short visit with the resident giant whale, we ran over to the beach for the last rays of the day and played in the waves. It was an awesome time and it felt like I was running around with old friends. I was so happy to photograph this engagement session, and I’m excited for their wedding this summer! Congrats you guys!
